Creating a Webform
The Webform Node allows webforms to be fully integrated into a website as nodes. This screencast walks through how to attach a webform to node:
Additionally, you may add webforms to a page by using the Content Rows field on Pages. Please note that the webform must already be created before it can be added to a content row.
Adding a (user) E-Mail Field to a Webform
When creating your webform, you may add an e-mail field so that the user may also receive a notification e-mail containing their submission. We will outline how to set this up below.
To add an e-mail field to your form, simply click + Add Element and search email in the search field. You may then select the Email field and click Add element.
Setting Up Submission Notification E-Mails
When creating or editing a webform, notification e-mails can be set up using the Settings tab near the top of the page and then clicking on the Emails/Handlers tab. Handlers are used to route submitted data to external applications and send notifications & confirmations, therefore we suggest contacting Upanup for assistance should you wish to set up a handler.
- To add recipients to receive webform submissions, click the + Add email button.
- Leave all settings as default within the Add Email handler screen, except for in the Send to section. To set up a custom e-mail address, select Custom To email address… from the To Email dropdown. You may add multiple e-mail addresses separated by commas.
- To send a copy of the submission notification to the form user, you may add an additional e-mail using the steps above, and selecting Email (email) from the Elements section of the To Email dropdown.
Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the window and click Save to update your e-mail handler settings.
